2HP signal switch

The SIGNAL SWITCH module is a “MUTE” module composed of two independent stages, depending on the position of a jumper located at the rear (2x mono or 1x stereo).
Using quality ‘vactrols’ helps avoid annoying clicks when turning your signals on/off through the module, and adds an interesting fade out. The MUTE of the signals is therefore clean and discreet.

An incoming “IN” and outgoing “OUT” signal can be muted by activating a selector.

ON = selector up, the incoming signal is directed to the output and therefore remains audible, a yellow LED lights up.
MUTE = selector down, incoming signal is muted. The use of “vactrol” avoids an unpleasant click and brings a slight OUT fade (the LED goes out).

Internal routing (normalization) is a passive multiple of input 1:
The incoming signal on input 1 is also routed to output 2 (which retains its own “MUTE” function). Inserting a jack into input 2 breaks the downstream routing. This allows different combinations for its use, depending on your needs.

Other option:
A jumper at the back allows the module to be split, either:

  • in two independent stages for two mono signals (mode A)
  • in one stage for a stereo signal (mode B). Thus, input 1 becomes the L channel and input 2 the R channel (same for the OUTs). The input 1 selector controls both channels (LEDs indicate the status of both channels).
